Official ZL1 Delivered Photos Thread

Went to Les Stanford Chevrolet to pick up my car yesterday. What a machine, I can't believe GM built this thing, it is a damm race car with airbags and a radio.
I just had them rinse the gunk off the paint, I will prep the interior an clean it up proper myself.

After I get it cleaned up proper and get a chance to drive it more, I will post in driver impressions, way cool stuff.

#199 is now home after a stop at ROCKET STOP FIREWORKS! How appropriate is that for the cars first stop on the way home? I met a fellow C5'er (BigV8LS3 - Jerry) who had expressed an interest in seeing the car. That's the selected spot. He showed up in a 2300 Supercharged G8 with coil overs and plenty of speed.

After getting home, my wife and I got the Z Dog and went out to take some pics (after an additional wax)...

I vowed to never get a black car again due to how labor intensive it is to keep it clean. But man, these black on black zl1's look awesome. Totally different league than any other color IMHO. And the exposed carbon fiber hood seals the deal. Stunning cars everyone.

You might as well enjoy it. I had the hottest Corvette of all time in late 2002, a 2003 Z06, 405 hp, 12.5 sec quarter mile factory car. 10 years forward, and standard Corvettes have more horsepower. The 50 year, and planned on keeping it for 50 years. No longer top dog, the thrill is gone, or at least refocused to my 2012 SS/RS convertible. Loving every moment with no regrets.

As impressive as the 2012 ZL1 is today, there's no guarantee it will remain a top contender. Enjoy it. Keep mileage low if you must. But by all means, you should be the one who gets satisfaction from it, not someone who will be getting a great bargain in the future.

after seeing a lot of real world colors, I am thinking my fav colors are in order.. white, black, red, silver. the other colors look great too, but the body lines seem to flow more naturally with the some colors over others.

Ok I guess it is safe to say that very few of the first ZL1's ordered had a sunroof. Out of all the pictures I have seen only one. Now I know there are 700 of them out there and only a few on the site but you would think there would be more sunroofs.

I have red w/Sunroof (#9) due to leave Oshawa Tuesday by Truck to NY... With Some of these photo's that are on the Forum----its really hard to tell if there are sunroofs....
By the way I dealt w/ City Chevrolet------0 Problems, and you will NEVER MEET A NICER GUY THEN RICK HENDRICK.......Harvey

The reverse Mohawk roof is the dead give away. If the roof looks flat across the top it has the sunroof.
