Thanks for the link. I have some ideas for some custom work and I was looking for these. I was hoping they'd be a little cheaper. Maybe I'll check with some dealer forum vendors to see if they can do any better.

If I bought this car, the first mod I did would be to remove the camaro emblem. Removed the CTS emblem from the V as soon as I got it. I think moving the ZL1 badge from the hood to the fender would look great. Not a fan of hood badging in general, though it does look good on the ZL1. If you remove camaro and leave the zl1 on the hood it will look naked. Im sure someone could do a mock-up of this mod.

Kinda like how the ZR1 has the ZR1 badges on the front fender and not C.O.R.V.E.T.T.E.

What do you guy's think? I would love to see someone do this...

It's just my opinion, but i think that would look so much better than having the Camaro badge on the fenders...

It kinda looks tacky on the ZL1 for some reason to me...
HA.... NEUTER YOUR ZL1? Sure thing Sherlock!

I have already removed my CAMARO badges. Looks good with nothing there. You can't put the ZL1 badges from the hood there because they were made to be tilted in order to view them better while on the hood. If you want to put the badges on the front fenders you need to order the badge that is on the back trunk lid, that is a nice flat badge. I got all my ZL1 badges in yesterday and will be painting them black (but masking off the red area on the "1") and replacing my chrome badges with them. I'll do that on Monday and post photos. Easy way to remove the badges is to you use 20lb fishing line and just slice them off the car, then use some Goof Off or some 3M adhesive remover to get the rest off.

I just bought some from Emblempros for like 70 something shipped. I wanted to remove the chrome ones off the ZL1 fenders and put the shinny black stainless to match the wheels. Now if my car would just get here, it was supposed to be here on the third but that is + or - 10 days some should be here by the 13th.

How would you go about the process though? I want to replace the Camaro emblems on both fenders with flat black. Would I take it to my dealer and let them do it?

To remove the lettering, use a hair dryer or hear gun to warm up the letters. Then take fishing line or dental floss to slide between the fender and the lettering and use a sawing motion to pop each letter off. There may be some residual glue left over, just use some goo gone or other adhesive remover to clean it up.

The lettering you buy should have double stick tape already applied, so you will just need to line up the emblems nice and straight in the right spot and remove the backing paper.

IMO - it would look good! I like having just the Cobra emblem on the fenders of my car. Nothing else is needed - same with the ZL1. It is not "just a Camaro" - it is something special.

Thanks Deke, I didn't know that the letting you order comes with adhesive tape. That really helps
