If you go to an autox event, be sure to make it known it's your first time. You will walk the full course, every turn and straight will be explained, and other drivers will give you tips if they know it's your first time. You will have tons of fun.

I like the different camera angles. You can really see how the tires act on turns. Did you use several cameras or just one or two? Good job of editing also. I wanna eventually see a comparison between an SS, 1LE and ZL1...just to see the advantage of different suspension set-ups. I know...I know...wishful thinking. But wishing.

Cool! Tip 1 from OldSchool. If you are leary of standing on it, without alot of white knuckle seat time,...go to a track where there are no trees, utility poles, or other risks that one may enounter on the street to "let 'er rip". It's worth the price of admission. Also, if inexperienced,..enroll in a driving school, then go solo on a track. Priceless....

He only has one camera so he kept moving it. He had the camera on the center of the windshield for the first two runs, behind the left front tire looking forward for the third, inside the car at the bottom left of the windshield for the fourth and looking back past the right rear for the last run. |

We are thinking about it but Indy is quite the trip from Texas. Google says its 897 miles and will take 15 hours, but they must be estimating it based on driving a Prius.
I should be able to hold it on the floor and cruise at 180 mph. If I can get 3.5 mpg, the trip will only require 16 tank fulls for a cost of $960.00 each way (assuming fuel will cost $3.75 a gallon). One good thing is we would not likely have to stop for bathroom breaks because getting 56 miles per tank we will be stopping for gas every 18.66 minutes. So with 5 hours of driving and 16 ten minute fuel stops, the trip should only take a little over 7.5 hours. This is half the time Google takes in its Prius. |

There is a huge contingent driving up from Texas. I think the plan is for the Houston to meet up with SA on to Dallas and then to Indy. I'll fly up because I am headed up a week or so earlier on business.
