Hang in there, think of how hard it was to get where you are, this is the difference from maintaining to improving, which do you want to do?

Bump! We dropped off to the second page! Where is everyone? Well I'm home. I suspect I lost a little ground but have not had the courage to get on the scales yet. I will be getting really serious about gaining that ground back this week. Maybe it won't be as bad as I think. We did a LOT of walking, I went out dancing one night & I exercized some too. We shall see.

Well, I've managed to shovel down more food than I ever thought possible. Kicked running for a while to try and add some weight. I was really scared to try dead lifts with the disc problems I've had, but to my surprise I've been able to do them with no issue at all. Easing into them with a fairly light load, but I'm absolutely delighted that my back feels better today than it has in probably 5 years. Got some added motivation from suddenly finding myself single, but it's just fuel for progress!

Reaching your calorie goal shouldn't be that hard, you just need to eat caloric dense foods, quality not quantity as they say.

What program or routine are you going with?

I decided to give the 20 squat workout a try three times a week. It's kicking my tail, but in a good way.

Been eating
1 cup oatmeal with whole milk and scoop of protein powder and two eggs
post am workout
1 protein shake
mid morning
2 cups yogurt with almonds
lunch
2 chicken breast with mixed vegies
mid afternoon
protein shake
1 chicken breast
dinner
either 2 fish filets, lean steak, 2 chicken breast or some sort of pasta with chicken or beef with a cup of quinoa and veggies
drinking about 3/4 gallon of milk daily as of now

Have more energy than I've had in a while.

With your calorie intake and the 20 squat workout you should be able to make some good progress. Run the program for the full course and then maybe switch it up with another one.

Keep an eye on body fat. Some of your food choices, although good foods, may contribute to fat gains.

Will do. Never had much of an issue with body fat. I don't think it'll be too much if it does accumulate.

Okay, I got brave & got on hte scales. I gained back 2 lbs :( Weird thing is all the #'s were exactly except for lbs - +2lbs & fat - +1 lb; water was the same & muscle was the same. Sooooooooooooooooo, where did the other lb go????????????

Good news is my exercize class instructor really pushed us hard yesterday. I'll be back on track soon.

Measurements are not always exact especially if relying on bio-electrical measurement.

Hi just checking in.

Jumped on the scale this am -148.6
Hadn't been on it for awhile so it was nice to
see its still on track. No real reason not to b
I've been pretty good about following my diet.
In fact I had an epiphany last weekend. The
Dealership sponsors a boat every year and last
weekend was the races. We have a tent set up
And several employees and their families come
To hang out-lots of fun. Well there in an assortment
Of food and a German chocolate cake for the
general managers birthday. I had a piece- not huge
but adequate. Tasted really good, but not long after
wasn't sitting so good in my stomach. I didn't think
Much of it until a similar situation eating something
less than "clean" and same thing-upset stomach. I
think I've turned the corner and created a new good
eating habit. I'm planning on taking extra coolers to
c5fest to keep carrots, yogurt and some of the other
things I'm accustomed to eating and avoiding the
Food at the track. Im pretty happy with that but ice
Cream still sits just fine Still going to boot
Camp 3 days and doing some additional exercise at home

Feeling great and hope to see a lot on you at the fest

Thanks everyone

Ok ill join
I don't really care about scale weight. I've always weighed higher than I looked. High school I had the little bit of abs showing but was still 150lbs. Lose the abs and still weigh 150... Lol I go by how my clothing fits and stomach looks!

I have to keep my motivation though. I keep falling off the wagon and eating crap and not working out.

I had knee surgery two months ago and still have issues with it. It pops if I straighten it which hurts! I can't squat yet but have been doing "iron chairs".
Hopefully have an exercise bike here at the house by the end of the week. That'll make cardio MUCH easier!! My work schedule sucks horribly and I ride with someone to and from work so I can't stay after work to do cardio. I won't do cardio during work since I like to sweat it out.

Trying to eliminate all excuses...
