Hard starts at op temperature.

My car has had issues with hard starts when shutoff for a few minutes.

Today, i stopped at my wife's work for about 10 minutes, and I almost thought it was not going to crank hard enough to start. when it did start, the stabilitrack light was on and it didn't run good.

The battery voltage looks OK according to the gauge, but I suspect possibly either the starter or battery going bad.

Anyone have similar issues?

Check voltage on battery. That is the first suspect...

Search a little more on here, but to me sounds like could be a ground issue like so many others have seen.

Recently we had a member that had close to the same problem...He chased every gremlin he could think of, some even twice...Everything he checked was tight and all the wiring was unharmed...Ended up being a broken connector on the negative post of the battery...He didn't mind us poking with him as being "blind as a bat"...Good luck in your search...

It's the starter. I have the same issues. Waiting on my new starter to be delivered Friday. Changing the battery didn't help.

Question on this. I have replaced my starter 3 times now and about to do it a forth time in 4 years now. I have checked grounds and connections and everything looks fine. Battery was replaced a little less than a year ago with the most recent starter that is currently in it.

Nobody has been able to figure out a cause for the problem on mine yet, and I find it hard to believe I need to replace a starter once a year... I would love to hear any suggestions anyone might have.

Have you ever tested one of those starters you've replaced?

I have it happen again quite frequently.
Just today it did it, then had a stabilitrak error. it ran poorly and then the tach didnt work.
I restarted adn it was OK.

I am starting to think faulty battery.

Headers might be heating up the starter too much...
