Regardless, if your story is accurate then you're going to need to change SOMETHING before some jerk does something bad to you. It's not fair. It's not reasonable. It's just the way things are. Your hiphop is too loud if it's making people look. Keep it to yourself and your problem will cease.

Damn, sorry to hear that. I'm a mustang owner and wave to every camaro or mustang, but really any other nice car I'll give a thumbs up too. If someone is giving you death threats or talkin shit, just look at them and say nothing. It's not worth it.
But, if that's not enough, start lifting weights, boxing, do mma. I do all 3 when I'm in good health, and it adds quite a bit of maturity to you both in looks and personality since at 17 (or in my case 18, 16 when I started) you will be around a lot of guys in there twenties. I say do that not for the maturity, that just a bonus, but for the fact that if some joker gets out of the car, you can too...but when you go home you eat a steak while he's sipping soup. Just my .02 cents |

Hahaha, Now that's my kinda woman! Btw there's nothing wrong with just cruising, hell I consider it a cheaper, more exciting alternative to therapy. As long as you don't act an @ss while doing it, cruise on brother!

Sounds to me like you problem is where you live..... TEXAS.
I dont want to be offensive to anyone here.... but there are a few places in this country where you can expect to encounter extreme ignorance.... and TEXAS is one of them. Not saying all Texans are ignorant... far from it.... but there are more than a few bad apples. Driving a car such as the 2010 Camaro will obviously give you your fair share of attention, both good and bad. You'll get "thumbs up" and complements, and you'll also have to deal with all the guys that "think" they know about you car.... and all of the guys that want to tell you it sucks. Therefore you will also get the "angry" guys who just want to ruin your day, because you have something they want, but cannot get one for themselves. Unfortunately for you, sounds like you are more prone to the negative run-ins. My suggestion..... move to a more civilized area. Hell, i live in DETROIT, and have not had one single bad encounter, beyond your average mis-informed idiot. Never a violent threat though. Just keep avoiding the losers, and protect that sweet sweet ride !!!

That's sucks. I used to live in S.A. and Corpus Christi Texas. It's a shame the people in that area are acting that way. I've had my share of bad experiences in S.A. (lots of very rude guys). I've had my Camaro SS for 10 months and all I've gotten are positive comments. For months I got nothing but camera phones taking pictures and lots of thumbs up and smiles. At gas stations everyone comes up to me and tell me how much they love my car. But I now live in S.W. Florida. |

If you're just crusin up and down round and round over and over it might appear to some as if you're showing off....hey look at what I'm driving.
That might get you the response you're experincing. |

Also to everyone taking about the way I drive, I must say all the incidents have happened while I was parked and everythng that has happened wouldn't even b provoked by aggresive driving
and to everyone talking about cruising to show and get attention, no. I would be cruising regardless of my car

I feel your pain man. First week I had mine, I had to stop at Target for something on my way to work. Parked way way away from everyone, and when I got back someone had spit a loogey all over the drivers door. Gross

What's inside doesn't matter. All that matters for this is what people see and think. Why not cruise in the country instead of a city? You can enjoy your car's speed better where there's no people around.

I lived in Del Rio for a few years, left in Jun 08, and found that a certain segment of the population does not really respect others property, especially if it's nicer than something they have. One of my friends had a brick thrown the window of his bmw in the mall parking lot, nothing stolen, just a broken window. My house was vandalized while I was there, somebody threw oranges at a window and broke it. I can see the attitude some would have towards a younger person driving a nice car in Del Rio. I was glad to leave.
