Reversed TPMS?

Any insight on this one be great. A couple days ago I got the notification that one of my tires was low. Naturally I pulled over to a gas station and added air to rear drivers side tire per the TPMS but as I look in to confirm the pressure I noticed that the front drivers side was the one that was changed according to the TPMS. So it ended up being the front drivers side that REALLY needed the air and not the rear as said by the TPMS. Has anyone has this problem? Or know how to fix it? I switched to 22s back in July so maybe when I had them put on someone screwed up.

I just read a thread that says it's somewhere in the manual so I guess I'm going to check that out in the AM.

You can enter the programming mode for the sensors yourself, but you'll need a triggering tool to "learn" the sensors in the correct order.
On the TPMS page of the DIC, press and hold the RESET button to get into learn mode.

My local Discount Tire does it for free for me, since I'm a regular customer.

yeah hold down for the tpms learn mode. release air starting in your front drivers side tire until you hear your car honk 2 or 3 times(forgot). do this going clockwise(front pass, then back pass, then rear drivers). all set.

I also wear 22's and made similar discovery.

The Learn procedure didn't work on my 22's. You will have to reset using tool
http://www.etoolcart.com/tpm-sensor-...-el-50448.aspx

Here is the trick.....place the tool closest to the valve on the tire (not on metal as it cannot sense location through metal) or you will not get a reading....I had to jack up rear and spin tire to get close to TPMS...

Try this link how to DIY

Never knew this. Thanks for information. Mine worked fine by deflating the tires about 4 psi or more and then heard my car honk a few times. Is there a specific reason your rims didnt work and mine did? This is for my learning purposes, thanks.

Tried the method in the manual and couldn't get it to work either. I guess the larger runs and tires are a factor. I'll be taking a trip back to the tire place where I had them installed. Good info from everyone.

Try find someone local who has the tool to make the reset. The shop charges are about $50, unless they will do it for free.

I think Mr. Tires does it for free.....

Cheapest thing is get a piece of paper and draw a diagram of the car and then mark where the sensors are actually reading then throw it in the glove compartment for future reference... Or until you can find someone to reprogram them.
