You didn't replace the chain with the C5R chain during the cam install as recommended?
If so if one of those chains failed that soon after install and it was installed by a qualified mechanic they should be helping you big time.
that would be the shop/chain manufactures butt.

that sucks..

I believe it started to be recommended after mine snapped. I did a lot of research and posting here and NO ONE suggested changing the chain. I would have if it was even hinted that it would be an issue. It has the C5-R now with an LS2 dampener. Read my "Timing Chain Failure" thread below. The shop did help me out. There is a known issue with 2010 chains. My car was made Oct 2010 for the 2011 model year.

Mine is still intacted depending on who you ask I did my mods of CAI, LTH, MAF Sensor, and Outlaw II's at around 4K on the car. Just getting it tuned this week since it is throwing codes and won't pass emissions. :( Was at the dealer this week and they said nothing about the warranty being void just could not pass the test.

I had ADM pick up my car right from the dealership. So I think most of my warranty was void after about 12 miles.

None of that is going to come into play until you take it to the dealership for a drivetrain issue. When you have a warranty claim it's GM that is supposed to foot the bill from the dealer. If it's a major part then GM is going to want to see the PCM. When they see it's been tuned by something else other than GM then they have the right to void the warranty and deny the warranty claim. Sometimes dealers will deny the claim before even going to GM if they know or think that what you are claiming under warranty wouldn't be covered by GM because of the modification. If the dealer does the tune or mod then they might foot the bill to fix but you probably wouldn't get any other dealer other than the one that did the mod to cover it. From my understanding the dealer would prefer to have the customer pay since they would get more than what GM will pay.

Mine was void before I picked it up new! Dealer to shop paint job, lowered, and tune then took delivery. No problems yet. Thank God!
