Quesiton on Alpine INA W910 and wiring harness requirements.

So, I think I'm finally read to commit to this. I haven't done a mod for a while and this seems fitting since I love the idea of having a 7 inch map in my car. This is going in a 2012 1LT RS.

Also, will I need this: http://www.amazon.com/Metra-ASWC-Uni...harness+camaro to retain steering wheel controls?

I also noticed the dash kits come with wiring harnesses, I'm assuming that's for the climate controls etc. Is there a wiring harness for the Alpine INA W910 for a 2012?

Edit: I've decided to go with the Scosche kit, will I need the steering wheel control harness for this. Also, is there anything I should know before tackling this project?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm mostly concerned with the connection method of the head unit. I'd be willing to shell out the extra cash for a wiring harness rather than splicing the wires.

I got the Alpine dash kit, I wanted to be sure that everything worked. Alpine dash kit has the function for the steering wheel controls on it, i don't know about the other brands.

I think I'm decided on the Scosche kit now because of it's looks. It's difficult to find any information regarding the wiring harnesses for the dash kit and the head unit. For those that have the W910, how did you connect it?
