Thinking about getting these things done.

I was thinking about changing the silver panels in the camaro to the yellow. But someone said when it comes to the doors you have to replace the whole door panel. Then I was thinking about changing my exhaust system to the package that they offer from GM. Anyone got any info on how hard it is to install and how the exhaust makes the V6 sound after install?

Exhaust isn't difficult. If its axel back you just cut it with a saw and then take out the trash cans and place the new exhaust and secure it with band clamps. If its a cat back you have to just unbolt everything and bolt it all back together

you don't have to replace the whole door panel. You can swap out just the inserts. See this DIY: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124391

You won't be satisfied with the GM performance exhaust on your car. I know several who paid the big bucks for them only to find they're not much better sounding than bone stock. Get aftermarkets if you're looking for a performance improvement and muscle car sound.

You know I've been reading a lot about exhaust upgrades and such, I've pretty much concluded that you have to go all in with a full exhaust (Long Tubes, HF Cats, X-Pipe, etc.) if you want to unlock the real potential of the Camaro. But all of that will need a tune, and if you do then bye-bye warranty.

I've told several people this, if you don't want to pay ANY money and still get a huge upgrade to exhaust sound, then find someone who modded his SS and take their exhaust. I've done it and had no problems and it sounds amazing! Totally different sound from idle to WOT and my exhaust now has the coveted "popping" sound

I've never thought of that. How difficult is the changeover to the SS exhaust? Do you know of any sounds clips of that setup out there?

FYI..changing the color of the door panels will change the color of the ambient lighting.

I did the interior kit last year as well. Here are pics of mine. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/album.php?albumid=10113

It is easy to do but time consuming unless you use a dremel to cut the plastic rivets. Also I've been told the GM kits are not longer available so you'll have to go aftermarket.

And yes changing the panels to yellow will make the ABL green.

You can just change out the door panels plus I've got the OEM exhaust from my 2SS that is free for the taking.

I love my Solo CAT back exhaust. It's an aggressive sound and sounds great IMO. Be sure to check out the exhaust sticky thread and give them a listen. No disrespect, but the SS exhaust on a V6 doesn't have as deep a tone.
