Nice, I have the PFADT stage 3 ZL spec suspension setup coming for my car. Did you do the work yourself and if so how long did it take to do the stuff you did?

We took a drive to Julian today by way of Palomar mountain so we could get in some twisty roads with the new supercars. Julian is inland about 60 miles from Oceanside on the coast toward San Diego in some mountain and valley areas.
Going down the mountain was great, car stuck like glue, no body lean or very little, a firm ride but the shocks controlled everything well.Settings at 11/10 f, 9/8 r. Slow coming up the mountain, we were following a firetruck all the way up to where a crouch rocket went down. They were working on him when we passed, didnt look good. Then on the way home on a very easy road out of Julian another one went down, had to wait awhile till they cleared it all up.Dont know what these guys are doing but should change their driving style a bit I think. Havent done anything lately, but here's a pic of my new tow hook, Hawk HPS brake pads and Modul 600 brake fluid. Stock pads done at 24000 miles and all the stop and go traffic driving. Guess 300 auto x laps played a small part in their demise as well

Pics of the new Tow Hook. Hawk HPS brake pads and new modul 600 fluid flush and refill work great, and flushing the remote clutch resovoir with new modul 600 fluid and refilling regained its old smooth operation.

Hopefully you won't need the tow hook.

O.k., guess I'm getting bored easily the older I get, so changed out the old school emblems and put back the modern ones. As the car got more modern with the splitter and new rims the old sss weren't as edgy or modern enough. I added back the small SSs on the fenders but kept the Vflags, Put them back in the stock places front and rear, left off the big ass front bowtie and carbon fibered the rear one. I like it better this way, though the other way was good to, just didnt fit anymore. Later ZL1 rockers are going on,so these work better imo.
In the last two pics youll see clevis' from Harbor freight I used to fab up a new rebound adjusting knob for a rear pedders coilover, dang thing fell off even after locktight and tightening the hell out of it.Since Pedders left us high and dry I had to come up with something, looked everywhere but no luck till I saw these at Harbor Freight. This one isnt going anywhere and though funky looking, works! Sorry no pics of the final version, but I cut it to size, drilled a 7/32" hole down the center and used a small sharp pointed sheet metel screw through one hole you see to secure it. The screw digs into the twisted wire adjuster cable and locks it into place. Locktight it and good to go. Last the cotter pin is put into the outer most hole and you use that to turn the adjuster. Also you'll see pics of front plate attached. Got one ticket I just paid so going out for a drive on Mothers day so thought I better put it on for now, dont need hassles on that day! Two toggle bolts hold it on so easy to remove.I also painted it fusion black to match the rest of the front end stuff and make it somewhat more tolerable. Now pics |

Painted the brake calipers red with Duplicolor ceramic high temp caliper paint. New decals ordered, Chevrolet in silver, Brembo logo in black. Easy but takes time, did 3-4 coats. Looks much better then the worn grey factory color. Another thing to clean and redue sometime in the future I'm sure
