Wanting to buy 3.23 ZL1 gears

Has anyone swapped out or looking to swap their 3.23 (auto) gears for a set of like new 3.73 (man trans) gears? I am looking for some low mileage gears at a reasonable price. Apparently they are different than the SS gears I had planned to use from a friend. Has anyone changed rear gears in a ZL1? Just wondering if you got any lights, or needed to do any programming? I've heard conflicting stories abt how the car detects speed btwn driveshaft and wheel sensors.

Any gears and advice would be appreciated.

ZL1 Ring and Pinion are larger diameter than a Camaro SS has. The ZL1 gears won't fit your car.

I had ADM swap the entire rear end. I went from 3.73 to 3.23. All you need to do is change the gear ratio in the tune and speedometer will be correct. No other issues noted, except first is really tall and you will want to drag the clutch a bit more.

Best bet is to buy a 3.23 carrier through gm parts direct or one of the other gm parts houses and swap the whole carrier. If you buy the gears and swap them out you need somone to set it up, removal and install and calibration etc. If you buy the new one you just calibrate it. Then just sell the 3.73 carrier for 1200-1500 and your only out about 700-800 bucks. Im looking for a 3.73 carrier to swap into my ss.

I would be interested in purchasing your 3.73 Rear diff complete.

I can have a New Factory 3.23 complete diff sent to you from our warehouse.

This makes it an easy 2 hour swap.

I can also calibrate the speedo for you via the SCT X3

Ted.

Is anyone interested in a 3.23 rear diff? I am selling the car, and the diff I bought was never installed.

Unless a guy changes the diff housing I think there are the only 2 ratios available. 3.23 or 3.73. I'd like to try a 3.91 in my car if someone made one to fit.

Keep the 3.73 gearing with the trans you have. You will be pushing mid to upper 60's in first gear with 3.23's. Plus you widen out the gears. Id spend the money on a 15 inch kit and some real tires. That is what i would do.
