STS turbo in CA

Hi everyone Ive been thinking of turbo charging my v6 but curious on the turbo. First off, is it worth it? Second I live in ca and I know it's a legal turbo but will I need to take off the whole kit for when I go for my emissions test? I wouldn't mind only doing minor tweaks but if I have to take off almost everything then why bother? I'm asking because well, I'm debating on trading in my v6 for an SS, or eliminate the whole process of selling and just turbo charging it. Thanks in advance.

Unless you have an EO# for the kit (CARB Exemption) you will not pass smog here in CA. At least not on the up-and-up...

I know I need that # but do you think all I would need to do then is just switch out the CAI sts uses? Switch it back to stock?

Better do some research on the STS kit - not what it says it is!

As long as the complete system they sell has a CARB EO# then yes, you would need to swap out the airbox cuz NONE of them have EO#'s as they lose vapor control...
