Catch Can Question
If I'm only going to put 6500 miles a year on my car do I still need a Catch Can? Thanks

you don't ever need one, but they are great at keeping your engine cleaner

Like, if you are only going to be driving 6500 miles a year, do you need insurance? no, but it's highly recommended. The goal is to help prolong the life of your engine, with all options out there. |

Exactly all it does is catch small amounts of atomized oil that would be burned off by the engine... I believe that this is also better for the environment, instead of being burned and dispersed into the atmosphere, the contents of my catch can are dumped onto my neighbors lawn.

I just emptied out mine right now. Half full of crap. Was really light this time because of the cold weather condensation i think.

I was freaking out last year when the same thing happened to me, because creamy oil can be the sign of a blown head gasket JDP Tyler set me straight.

it's a relatively cheap mod and can't hurt as long as installed properly and emptied regularly.
