Tires with a treadwear of 60....no wonder it can grip to that level of G, tires make a huge difference....can only imagine what those will cost to replace....

I am disappointed they got ride of the halo lights, I was never a fan of the low/high separate lights and I don't care for the tail lights. having said that I love the styling of the car and the seats and wheels are killer. the 427 ls7 doesn't hurt either. I think the pros out way the cons and I would own one. (will own one)

the price will keep most of those types away. not to mention that lack of creature comforts will keep all but the most hardcore away.

How could GM do this to me????
Just when I had decided on a C7 Corvette, they go and unveil the Z/28 and now I don't know what to do!! Got to admit, even the new TT v6 CTS is looking amazing! GM is really hitting on all 8 cylinders right now! Hopefully they can keep it up...

Help me out here because I simply don't get it - why would someone interested in running on the track NOT get the ZL1 and just drop weight off it (like Blue Angels guy did)? Is it just because it has a Z/28 tag?

Just thinking the same thing! I love what GM has done bringing the moniker back. I figured this whole time they'd wait for the 6th Gen. Just imagine the 6th Gen Z/28 on that platform, oh sweet baby Jesus.
But thinking about it the Z/28 wouldn't be practical for me(atleast not yet, lol). It's a car that goes to the track and straight into a garage. Of course you can change out tires/wheels buts personally I want A/C, I want the Speakers and the few other things we so called creatures feel comfortable. I'll say this, there is a reason why GM hasn't debuted the 2014 ZL1, will be made into production. Imagine a Carbon Edition ZL1. Light weight spoiler, rockers, etc and an increase in HP? The LS7 comes with an intake, so the ZL1 may. GM has suprised me yet again. I'm looking forward to see the debuted of the ZL1. |

All ppl will do is buy parts off the Z/28 since owing one will be out of reach for most.

I would think that it really needs the center gauge stack, unless it shows all the info on the cluster,...?

Too many choices. I believe they need to let new models jell before they throw more options in front of the public. This is a prime example of bad marketing. While some customers get excited some also get very upset. Not good for business long term

Both have reverse mohawk, just like now the sunroof cars are flat. The SS concept has a sunroof.

I found where the tail light inspiration came from...
