Had one black car in my life and never again. True they look awesome when cleaned up but you always have to use diapers or something really soft to eliminate swirls. With that being said, I have a Victory Red 2011 5thgen and will most like use diapers or chamois since I think that RED really pops when it's shined up. Believe it or not, white and red in my experience are colors that can get dirty as heck and not show it.

BTW, I am not religious by nature, but the GOD reference obviously tweaked some of the forum members and I agree with them and you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

You should use the Wizards detail spray. It's in a pink bottle. Works for pretty much damn near everything. I had a dealership f' up my paint job..they put swirls and spider web like marks into the paint. (I have a black car) and I used McGuire 2.0 tech wax then the wizards detail spray and damn near made it look like new again, it also takes off sap, bird crap and bug guts without any problems.

If you have a black car, expect to take care of it more then you would with any other color. I re-wax my car every weekend, and spend about 5 hours waxing it.

Also, expect the impossible to happen when you take it out for a Sunday cruise.

I had my crappy moments too. Sucks to hear what happened to you! I feel your pain!

Mine is Imperial Blue, and it seems to attract bugs like crazy too. First couple of days I'd freak and clean the car top to bottom after every drive. I've already gotten tired of that. I just wash and wax it once a week (every Friday) and figure it is just a few days away until the next cleaning when that stuff happens.

It's part of driving...your car will get dirty.

Try driving over mountain passes in the late evening where there are rivers. Lots of bugs on the road at twilight. When I do my 400 mile trips around the state for the heck of it, I always end up with bugs on the front facia. Just means it's time to wash it the next day.
