Mustang fan boys should be thanking the Camaro. Ford never would have upped the anti with Mustang if the Camaro wasn't re-released.

Besides... It's not about winning or losing, it's about having fun...

From what i've read they were actually working on the 5.0 project since before the new camaro came out. just an fyi.

I'm sure the Ford Executives were well aware of the new Camaro way back prior to 2006. That's when the first Camaro concepts were being introduced to the public.

Oh yeah, there is no doubt that the Camaro had some influence on the 5.0 power levels.

I think its fair to say that the Camaro influenced Ford to get more power out of the 5.0 engine (originally, as I have read, the plan was to have the new 5.0 run at 375 HP vs 412).

What isnt accurate is to say that the Camaro caused Ford to bring back the 5.0. The new 5.0 engine has been in the works now for well over 5 years. Ford may have been aware of the Camaro, but probably not enough details to really be concerned, at first for all they know it could have been just a refresh of the 4th gens.

2011 GT 5.0...influenced by the Camaro SS? Yes, absolutely.

2011 GT 5.0..caused by the Camaro SS? No, not at all.

Just like how the 2012 Camaro SS will be influenced by the 2011 GT , but wont be caused by it.

That color is called Mystic Chrome i think. I would never buy a car in that color, but to be fair it DOES look good sometimes...

Plus i think it only came on the supercharged 03-04 Cobras aka Terminators

Well for getting girls they like Camaro better.. My girl and all my female friends said camaro sexier..
But driving girls seems to buy Mustangs V6 (guessing price)..
I dont put the mustangs down.. I love cars..
I give thumbs up to people in Mustangs and challengers..
