Finally had a chance to install the new ZL-1 front end and have it painted. Here are a few phone pictures until I can download the rest off the camara.

Want to thank Ofer for all his help in making this happen.

Considering this mod also guys... What holds me back is centering the insert... How hard is that? Don't want to cut the hood and have it cricked. . LOL

It comes with a template you line up with the front and rear of the hood and along the top of the cowl bulge. It is hard to cut it wrong....

Assuming you were to mis-use the template and cut opening off, you can recenter the insert before bolting it down. The margin of error is about 1/4-3/8''.

You will be able to perfectly adjust in the center....

Seems to be. The stock SS hood with the insert looks off to me, its too skinny (the ZL1 hood cowl is a few inches wider). And the edges sit up a little higher on the stock SS hood insert.

Granted the price difference may make it worth the looks.
