Well.......I have been beating '10 GTs by 4 car lengths. How is that barely winning? .5 secs is a huge gap in a drag race my friend.

Please let this silly discussion die. It's a Super muscle car vs a Muscle car what do you think will happen. If anything it just lets you know the SS stock is nothing to mess with it when its keeping up with a stock GT500.
Say what you will about driver error and tires, facts remain both are stock and how many people out there racing are all gonna launch perfectly and get the best results each time out. the answer is not many maybe 1%, so this is a great representation of two bone stock cars with your average driver which more times then not you will see driving these cars. End of discussion.

All that Camaro needs is a tune & it would be beating that Mustang GT 500. If you added a cai, headers, and a cam, it would be spankin' it.....

The purpose of this is bone stock vs bone stock. Because if u start talking mod for mod, you still are in the same position. Not fair to add a mod to one and not to the other and then compare them. That's what is wrong.

Well apparently this race was so good we needed 3 threads to cover it.
Bottom line: That was a good race between two cars on that day with those drivers on that track; regardless of power and price. The favored more powerful and more expensive vehicle won. The coulda, woulda, and shoulda crowd on either side of auto allegiance need to realize that races like this will happen and further proves that when it comes to racing the most important mod is always the driver.
