Wow... I am so disappointed by the us top gear
For one thing the sound is terrible especially during the powerlaps and the drifting. Also they talk in such a boring way, the show provided no entertainment at all. Not to mention none of them can drive... except tanner

Start your own show or watch something else. I just take things for what they are. I find it informative, not perfect, but all-in-all cool.

it could be better and most american people will find it non entertaining with language because of the accents that the brits have. Secondly.. there is a new level of pronounced vulgarity and a new outlook to it.. rather then being disrespectful to themselves they break out by including some blind people. yea it was cool but it was wrong nonetheless (he was a good driver though)

I caught it tonight. It was pretty cool, but it feels over scripted. It doesn't flow like the uk version does. I'm sure it'll get better with time. Have you seen the 1st season of top gear uk? It kinda feels like that.

That's pretty much it, Tx1Lt - it's very scripted and forced.

Not so sure about it getting better with the current hosts, Tanner is the only decent
one on there - they really need a strong lead like the UK version... which is way more
funny too obviously.

I agree....the US version doesn't do anything for me, thus far...I'm trying to give it a chance to get it's feet under it and really start running...or trip and fall on it's face, lol

i love how that guy was trying to be funny and poke fun at the british about the 200 MPH thing... its like come one dude.. whats looks better 190 or 200... 200 looks better and cooler. much rather have it go to 200

aside from being too scripted, I like seeing cars in action and I'll continue to watch it. it'll get better.

The trio sucks and it comes across as being more set up and fake then the UK version.

I really wish the network would of went with youtube's The Smoking Tire and Fast Lane Daily bunch of guy's who are real life friends with chemistry vs these uncomfortable guy's.

they really dropped the ball on this. they even tried to carbon copy the personalities which is a no go and they even want to act like the uk people as in chemistry and it comes off wack. They need to let them freestyle a couple of eps

The next episode looks funny, as it will be the first 'gag' episode where they attempt to trace the roots of stock car driving with a fake 'moonshine run'. I don't know many moonshiners who would JUMP a car with a load of white lightning in it, but it should make for interesting TV.

Chemistry amongst the hosts comes with time. They do need to try to put their own spin on the show to try and not look like they are forcing themselves into the mold. That will never work.

Oh: And two major fails: The EVO was seen going through 8-feet of snow...yet at the very end when he beats the skittles...the car is dry as delivery day and not a snowflake on it. Second: Who the *&^%%$ takes one of the most beautiful cars out on El Mirage and sandblasts it on the lake bed? Why would you do that to an Aston Martin??? I rode dirtbikes on El Mirage for years as a kid, and even the plastic fenders on my YZ-80 would get scratched to hell by that dust.

And the blind guy could drive really well. The looks the dog gave the car were priceless..."Wait! Why is MASTER driving that car?!!?! He is BLIND you idiots! Don't give him the keys!!!" I love labs.
