Base SS is faster than 1LE. BASE!! Pretty sure the "base" model is not coming with MRC. This is AWSOME!

I am curious about the E-ebrake. He mentions that the E-ebrake will allow for some "interesting" things in the near future. What could this lead to?? It's a ebrake...

It makes you wonder just how much more track capable performance you'll get with MRC, if its already that good without it....unless the standard SS is so damn stiff already, that MRC is only available if you want a cushy ride lol.

I don't think MRC will really add a whole lot from the performance standpoint. Should be the best of both worlds though.

Could be collision avoidance or something. Not sure why a push button ebrake would help.

Line lock in drag strip mode?

Parking brake works on rear wheels.. So I'm not sure how they would plan to incorporate this. I guess if you're stopped and in a certain mode, it could lock the front wheels electronically.

Perhaps you could use the e-eBrake when doing some drifting. I know that some drifting cars are set up with special aftermarket handbrakes.

its an ELECTRONIC e-brake

Anyone working on it could program it to make a latte when you press it instead of engaging the emergency brake. I could see them doing:

Line lock

Drift mode (you could make a pretty sweet controlled drift mode with an electronic e-brake & the rotational sensors in the wheels...basically a "keep the back tires spinning faster than the front tires" setting)

Launch Control

Im sure you guys could add half a dozen to the list

I wonder what the difference in price will be between the V6 and 2.0T.

I took the e-brake part differently. I thought he meant going with the button instead of a handle meant they freed up space to let them do more things with that area of the console.

Could be, what time did he make the comment about it? I haven't watched the full video yet.

Yea, maybe I am reading too much into it. I made his speech into a drinking game. I took a sip of beer every time he said, "ummm, Ahhh".

Maybe it has to do with launch control?
