I'm back now.
Driving the V6 was a great experience. The only problem I can see is backing up, you're blind as a bat. The car was quiet, comfortable and powerful based on the route I took. It's pouring here and people in the bay are can't drive even when it's sunny, so I wasn't able to really open up. Driving it with someone who's been reviewing cars for 30+ years (it was his test model), he gave me his review/opinion and let me know the pros/cons of what I wanted to do to my car. After knowning some of this information, it truly put my wants into perspective. I need to do some rethinking and make sure what I want is truly what I want now. Overall reaction: I love the car and will own one sometime soon. Only weak point is backing up visibility. The sensors help but it would take a day or two of getting used to. |

I guess the consolation is that the awesome Camaro styling is what resulted in the big C-pillar. But glad you enjoyed the ride. I'd be interested in what you are rethinking and why.

Apparently Mark Reuss (new man in charge of N America Operations for GM) alluded to the Z-28 today in a live webchat. I particularly liked his comments about future "lighter and more efficient" RWD cars.
