I don't really like the salt, but so long as I keep it washed off so it's not stuck on the car when it's hovering around freezing, that's when you don't want it on the car. When it's real cold, the salt can't hurt the car.

actually, if you drive it in snow or rain, it will cause a nuclear reaction inside the engine block, causing radiation to leak inside the cabin which makes it extremely difficult to breathe. Once you have been afflicted by this ailment, you will eventually lose all control of your Camaro as it spins out furiously into oncoming traffic. Once it's "spin mode" is engaged, it has a special heat seeking device that is specifically programmed to find the exact temperature of an 18-wheeler's exhaust. The Camaro will continue to violently spin with you inside until you smash into the 18 wheeler, causing the car to be totaled and you will likely be dead or paralyzed.
So no, you can't drive it in the snow. |

I would argue the SS models are better than most V6's in the snow.
Automatic Transmission V6 in the snow = one wheel drive (open differential)

Drive my convertible everyday. It's covered in salt and I even parked it outside tonight. I may not rinse it until spring. Has 1600 miles on it. I'm not paying 45k for a car just to have it sit. So Mr rust, have a feast. I will just repair or sell when it becomes an issue.

Do not drive your Camaro in the snow without all season or snow tires. Mine is currently sitting at the bottom of a hill 3 miles away stuck in a few tenths of an inch of slush because I still have the summer tires on. The car is stuck and won't go anywhere. My advice: Get snow tires!!

I always enjoy this debat. I guess we all ASSUME we each have 3 or 4 cars and can walk out to our driveway and choose which car we will drive today.
OP, you are right, I am fortunate enough to have a second vehicle, truck, that I can drive in the winter months. But at the same time, I have several friends that this is all they have and they make it work year after year. They love the car, and do not have funds to purchase multiple vehicles. |

Love driving my car in the snow - we have a few bends in my neighborhood where no one parks their cars on the street and I usually goose it a little bit to slide through the turn. With all the "nannies" on it handles perfectly and you can be rather precise on how much it fishtails around the bend. Snow has been no problem for my car - just have to be slow and cautious.
Honestly I find the car more fun to drive in the snow than on a warm summer day...

No. It started snowing pretty much without warning and I had to get home before it got too bad, but I was too late. I don't leave home when there's snow on the ground otherwise. I knew I was gonna run into problems anyway.
