CA Speedway bad day for the Camaro
I went to the track(Auto Club Dragway in California) yesterday in the Silverado the only two Camaro's racing that I saw were giving the M6's a bad rap. A Blue one went 15's at the Black one went 14.4. I just saw a post about a member here that went and ran a 13.5 in a A6 so that helps.
BTW, I ran 13.7 in the Silverado on my first pass with the street tires.

I was thinking about going down there to try my stock L99 before doing any mods. What kind of wait times were involved and how many runs did you get in ? Any general tips/info you can present as well would be appreciated. I have never been to a real 1/4 strip before, in high school we just had some country road and marked the 1/4 with paint and raced out there. thanks.

Wait times were terrible. I only managed to get two runs in. There were a lot of people there plus a few that broke down and it was a little hot too. Most of the week was cool then come race day we warmed up, lol.
Bring a helmet, pants(no shorts, tank tops, sandals allowed) and be prepared to have some fun. If you are stock then take TC off, put it in M(Sport mode) and let it shift on its own then roll into the throttle until you almost brake the tires loose. You will not know how fast you can lay into the throttle until you do it and spin. Some times the prep is better so every day is a little different. Too bad you did not make it. They will be open again at the end of this month so prepare now. If you want to practice go to Irwindale on Thursday's. It is a 1/8 mile track but you can practice your launch. If you go let me know and I may be able to meet you. According to a DA calculator it was a +3023 DA day.

I can't believe that you are running that slow with all those mods. Must be the difference in the air compared to Michigan. We are running very low12's with CAI, Kooks 1 7/8 headers, Corsa exhaust and custom dyno tune and this is with a 6A L99.

If your reffering to my car Im sure if I were in Michigan I would be in the 12's too. Last time I checked you guys have cooler weather up there . Even in our forum G8boards there are some G8's in the east coast running 13.0-13.1 bone stock. They are running in the 12's with my set up consistantly. Being in California I could only compare my times and mods with people racing where I race
