No gm tracking site? Fbodfather, what's the deal?

So I guess gmconnects.com is dead. So now there is no way to track our orders. That really is unbelievable. With all the talk about customer loyalty and Chevy runs deep, they can't keep or set up an automated site for tracking. Enthusiasts expect more and want more. If you want to check my loyalty, just read my signature.

And don't tell me to go to Chevrolet.com. That tracking is useless. It basically tells you your car has been ordered, then when your car is built. Lame. We want details, 1100, 1200, 3800 etc.

Scott, can't you make some calls and see what the deal is? Throw your weight around. Tell the General we need to know this stuff.

Whew, that feels better.

Ummmm.... I really don't think it's Becky's job to track our orders. I'm pretty sure GM is not paying her to do it. I'm amazed she can stand to log on to find posts from 30 guys wanting a daily update. It would be no different if I called my salesman every day for an update.

We should be able to go to a gm site dedicated to tracking.

I really wish there was a way to get these codes, my salesman never gave me mine back in 2009 when I ordered my SS.

I wouldn't say GMConnects is dead.

I cannot promise you that you will see it at GM again but I do promise you it will be available again. Sorry to say that but my partners and I have invested plenty of time and a small fortune into the product/service and it's time to pursue a revenue stream for it.

GM is still in the picture and there are currently on going discussions at the executive level but I cannot say more than that at this point. I wish we can continue to provide the service but at this point we were advised not to. Should the discussions break down with GM and pick up with someone else, we would be left in a very bad position if we had thousands of GM customers still being served.

GMConnects was built to revolutionize the buying experience for ALL General Motors customers and to give customers a level of satisfaction that was not available anywhere else. We are extremely pleased with the feedback we have received by all of you over the past 3 years.

I hope I can come back here (as well as other sites) and tell you all we're back for good but right now all I can say is to stay tuned.

Thanks for understanding and it was great to read about all of your stories and see the delivery pictures.

Your GMConnects Team!

Wow.... Very interesting. I never knew it was not owned by GM. Hopefully you come to an equitable solution for both parties. Seems as though you have some pretty good leverage to help your end of the deal. I know I was looking forward to tracking my vehicle through the site and even bragged to others about this capability. I wish you and your team luck and thank you for your work.

Is there anything we can do to help? Anyone in particular we can contact to express our disapointment in its loss?

Thanks so much for the offer Geno but we would need support from all over the country. Although many people have loved the service, I am not sure I could get that.

I am sure there are enough members here waiting for cars that we could help. I say start a thread with contact info stating that if we want to help, call or write to xxx. I would do my part to help.

Just happen to notice that the gmconnects.com site is back up, but still no updates. My order QKVCT1 hasn't been updated since 8/13/12.

I wonder why they'd get it back up without making it functional.

Hylton?
