Black and chrome rear bowtie ...
Hi,
I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't seem to find the answer so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I want to replace my oem chrome/gold rear bowtie with a chrome/gloss black one. I can find aftermarket ones that are all black but none that retain the chrome surround. I had the same issue a long time ago on a Tahoe and I had to get the center of an oem bowtie painted. Is this my only option or is there an 'off the shelf' solution out there? Thanks. PS. Does the rear bowtie have an alignment prong and is it just held there with adhesive? |

I bought mine from River City Creations. They look excellent. Check them out at camarocustoms.com they do good work.

I had a local vinyl shop do the center of the bow-tie in gloss black. Turned out great, durable and inexpensive.

To answer your second question, no there are no alignment holes or prongs. It's just held on with adhesive. From my understanding there were some early model 2010's that did have holes of some sort, but everything since has not.

Looks good. appears like they took the OEM bow tie and painted the center section for you. I do something similar but in carbon fiber, i completely remove the gold piece from the chrome bow tie and replace it with a carbon fiber one.

I like the CF sticker I put over my rear.
