2012 also has a better suspension package. who really cares about the steering wheel, especially if you already own a 2010-2011 camaro and wouldn't be purchasing a 2012 anyway? i doubt the steering wheel will have spikes on it or be growing poison ivy, so i'm sure after a month or two of owning your car that the steering wheel will no longer be a sore point...if it even takes that long in the first place.

while i will agree the initial look of the wheel is better in the 2011, it does not in any way dissuade me from wanting the 2012 version of the entire vehicle over a prior year version. all around it's going to be a superior vehicle, even if that's just via a suspension upgrade. coming down to an interior aesthetic frustration shouldn't hinder anyone from getting it, even if/when the price does go up.

on another note, i'm predicting tomorrow, the start of june, to be the date that GM posts their prices. seems like a "welcome to summer" kind of thing...

I think a fair guess would be an increase of a few percent over 2011, across all models. Does anyone know the increase from the end of the 2010 MY to the start of the 2011 MY?

My dealer sent me an email today saying my 2012 1SS Triple Black Convertible will be picked up. I am getting more excited by the day. Now if the rain will get out of here in the next 8 weeks I will be even happier.

Thanks for the responses.

Well my dealer just based my order for a 2LT with RS package based on the 2011. Two different dealers told me they expected the usual few hundred dollar increase for the new model year, which wouldn't drastically change what I expect to pay. If the price is significantly different, then I'm going to be in a bit of a financial pickle, but I'll make it happen. I've been waiting for more than a year now for the 2012. The order has been placed with allocation, and there's no turning back!!! Keep that refrigerator stocked for me forum family..lol.

So when you say orders get picked up Thursdays do you mean that orders cant move from status 1100 to 2000 until Thursdays? Sorry I've been at status 1100 for a while now -.-

Swift Dream, don't even say that! I already know that part of me is going to miss my 08 Grand Prix GXP. It's a beautiful car. When I get it all cleaned up and look at it, I think I have to really be stupid to get rid of it. It's only got 41,000 miles. I ordered it too. Also, it's Victory Red, which I really, really wish I could get on the Camaro, and as you know, it's got the temperature control too.

Oops, sorry, correction to my earlier post. I meant to say my Grand Prix is Crimson, and I really wish I could get Crimson on the Camaro. I mistakenly said Victory Red, which "is" the color for the Camaro.
