Acceleration problem with my new Camaro

I bought a Camaro about a week ago and I'm just realizing that there might be an acceleration problem with my new baby. Every single time I take her out for a drive, I look down only to realize that I'm accelerating significantly over the speed limit. I don't know why it keeps happening, but I swear it happens every single time.

Another problem... Why just today, I was driving to church. I must have taken the same freeways and stretches of roads over a hundred times before. I should be able to get there with my eyes closed. But today was different. It was a beautiful sunny californian weather, long (relatively) empty stretch of highway... The next thing I know, I'm seeing landmarks that I haven't ever seen before. I had to get off the next exit and take out my gps to see just how far off course I've driven myself.

That acceleration problem... do you think I could have gotten a lemon? And that temporary loss of awareness, could it be from the poisonous fumes of a new car? What should I do to fix these problems?

What you have is a common ailment called Driverticulytus. It comes from an overabundance of adrenaline associated with having a hot-ass car. You could go see a doctor but he would just tell you the same thing I will- drive lots more!

The dr would most likely suggest that HE (the dr) drives the car to see if he has the same problem lol.

They have a new medication for the problem. The only problem is they have not perfected it yet, it seems it has caused a hardening of the accelerator leg is called "Drivagra".

The side effects are as follows:
Seek medicall attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Drivagra:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); chest pain; fainting; fast or irregular heartbeat; memory loss; numbness of an arm or leg; one-sided weakness; painful or prolonged stiffness in accel leg; ringing in the ears; seizure; severe or persistent dizziness; severe or persistent vision changes; sudden decrease or loss of hearing; sudden decrease or loss of vision in one or both eyes

And if your driving for more then 4 hours call your friends and tell them how cool it is.

Well, I just came back from the doctor as was recommended... He asked for my auto-medical history. When I told him that I drove a Prius before this one and never felt like this before, he gave me a look and slapped me across the face. Then he told me that what I was experiencing were symptoms of me growing a pair.

lol. Seriously though... moving from the Prius to the Camaro. The power is so effortless. It feeeelllsss sooooooo gooood.......

The flashing blue lights in your rear view mirror is a sure cure.

Good thing the OP just got the V6.. could you imagine how big his problem would be with a SS????

I noticed the same problem, especially getting on the Interstate, I find by the end of the on-ramp I am past the speed limit and need to slow down to merge with traffic..

Most likely you got a orange , not a lemon , second, yes there is a problem with you right foot , it is abnormally heavy , on the other hand it is easy to fix , just make a call to 1900 1DRPHIL ,and just tell him that i send you there

as long as you have the third symptom, that being permagrin then you are probably going to be ok but unfortunitely there is no cure and will have to "live" with it for an extended period of time. enjoy

Cute!

I do believe "most" of us has had a similiar ailment!
Unfortunately, as stevea has pointed out, the flashing blue lights tend to cure the acceleration problem....... temporarily!

Hey at least you got rid of the Prius (Pius) and decided to save your dignity. Yes, power corrupts and it feels so good, like I knew it would.
