I was wandering if anybody knew of any stores that sell porter cable polishers in the store without ordering. I'm looking to pick one up within the next couple of weeks along with some Adam's pads i would just rather not have to pay the shipping. Thanks for the replies

I just called sears and they said that they only sell them online :(

If you just want the PC itself take a look at Toolking.com or Coastaltool.com... generally if you find them in a retail store they'll be $20-$30 more than online, so the cost of shipping is pretty much gonna even that out.

Dylan is Griots polisher just as good? and can i use Adam's backing plate and pads with it?

Speed wise I don't see much different... they both run 2500-6800opm. The Griots has a more powerful motor, but it appears thats only to maintain speed under load. The brief time I spent playing with one it 'felt' cheap just b/c it has a flimsy plastic body. I do like the handle design of it, but outside of that I prefer my PC for DA polishing.

Our pads and backing plate should work just fine with it.
