Painted inside my Engine late at nite in the dark

I usepaint for plastic, did first coat with plastic primer and the several coats of paint. I also did mine with everything out of the car. I'm booked this weekend so I won't be able to help you clean it up. Don't forget to clean everything before paining and then clean again! Don't mind the rough crowd, you are doing the best you can with what you have. I will give you a biz if my plans change, I have a date with some pesky doves on Saturday in Sacramento.

if you want to make the trip to cali i could help for the cost of some of that food and beer.... plus if you do it next weekend there is a big meet you can go to while your out here

Ya I have a friend that works in a bodyshop he can paint the engine professionaly. What other parts of the engine i can paint red?

Why not use this as an opportunity to get outside the box.. Check out videos by edhubb on youtube. He shows you how to do several different custom paint techniques. You could easily do a marble or wrinkle effect over what you have, then clear, sand, clear, repeat until smooth....

i used adhesive promoter and engine enamel spray paint quick question not trying to thread jack, i just painted my rims and one rim has a few blotches of clear coat that i sprayed too much, theyre like white colored blotches. should i use rubbing compound or if i sand it what grit? i really dont wanna take the wheels off and do them all over again.

well I felt painting the intake would be overdoing it, I like the way the cai looks like it is. It was very simple and my first spray paint job I've ever done. I just sanded the grey part and some of the v8 logo in the middle with 300 or 400 grit sandpaper. Then I cleaned it with dishwashing soap and water. Dried it and wiped it down with rubbing alcahol on a paper towel. Then sprayed 2-3 times of adhesive promoter. Then maybe 2 light coats and 2 medium coats of orange-red duplicator engine enamel spraypaint. Then maybe 2 clear coat sprays and done. Did the black Chevrolet lettering with a sharpie.
