I check this thread every once and awhile and never post but it kills me to see a family member go. I have had to put down one of my kids years ago and I still tear up thinking about it.

It's tough. :(

Steve

Great build too

Sorry man. It suck's. We have our little Chole. She is 14 and needs insuline twice a day and special food. It will be a sad day when we have to put her down if her quality of life slips. I'm sure Colleen and I will be bawling like babies.

:(

I had a great little poem/prayer that was given to me last fall when we had to put Shadow down. For the life of me I cannot find it Robert. my apologies.

take comfort in knowing that Satch is resting peacefully now. Keeping an eye on the kids still.

R- So sorry to hear buddy. It is so hard to part with such an integral member of the family. Remember all of the fun times you had with Satch and know that he did not suffer. As hard as it may seem, you did the right thing. Think of what it would have been like if you never had him? You will soon feel happy that you had so much joy as a result of having such a great companion.

I know, his tail is thumping into something and he has a watchful eye out...

Debbie and I talked about that last night... He gave us so much... The vet and his entire staff were pretty choked up about it. They all had a little story about the joy he brought into the office.

When we dropped him off for baths, they would bath him and then let him have free reign of the place... He would lay behind the counter with the receptionist, or greet folks as they came in...

Thanks all for the warm thoughts..

Robert:
I'm so sorry to read about the loss of your beloved pet and family member. He was a beautiful dog. I am a huge animal lover. All of our pets are like our children and losing one is heart wrenching. But, you did the right thing to not let him suffer.

I do know this... the pain is horrible for a while, but eventually it will turn to fond memories of a wonderful companion.

Peace.

True, Debbie and i talked about him being our last child since the youngest one just graduated from college... And the fond memories are there already... He had a huge basket full of stuffed toys. He never chewed them up, never tore the eyes off of them, he would just grab one and have it in his mouth whenever anyone got to the house... That was his thing...

They are in such good shape, we washed them all and will donate them to our vets office and to the animal shelter in the area... We did, well I did, keep his big stuffed duck. I have it on a book shelf in the living room, laid out like satch would be if he were still with us... Debbie and I were actually laughing about it last night as we both happened to look at it for a time, and then looked at each other... "thats Satch."

Thanks Bill, and I'm sorry for your loss as well...

On to better subjects... That car of yours is seriously bad arse... Can't wait to watch you run in person...

Very, very sorry to hear of the loss of your buddy. As someone mentioned earlier, they always give and never take.

Sorry to read about Satch. They are family and in some ways better. You can treat a dog like a dog and they still are happy the next time they see you.

Yup, and Satch was certainly a giver...

So true...

I'll get some pics tomorrow, but the fuel cell and nitrous set up are almost complete... We leak tested the cell today and only have two little areas to touch up...

Then I'll strip it down and get some color on it, and then the final assembly, install of the fuel pump, regulators, solenoids etc, and install...

We still have to pull the rear cradle to change out the primary fuel system, but progress is being seen...

So... get a bumper sticker for Brandi... "If you can't run with the big dog, stay on the porch"

I guess everyone has seen him from your old sig, If anyone asks what unconditional love means, just show them a dog.

Truly sorry for your loss
