Header install

So I have a question, I ordered TSP headers and the Night Fury Cam package. I was originally planning on doing the headers myself and taking my car to Speed Inc back home for the cam install/tune. I also asked Speed Inc. about doing the header install at the same time and they said they would for $295.

I was wondering if it'd be ok to install my headers myself to save the money then make the 9hr drive for the cam install/tune. I just wanted to make sure I'm not going to harm anything driving that far.

Thanks

You'll be just fine installing them yourself and driving there. You may get a CEL, but it will only be due to the cat efficiency. The car will run fine though.

I installed my headers on Thanksgiving weekend and drove it with no problems through the end of January before getting tuned.

+1. As he said, you will likely throw a cel at some point but it will be fine. When they tune your car they can fix this.
