true, but the aftermarket bushings amplify the sound tremendously from the other threads i have been reading. Alot of guys go back to the stock diff bushings because the rear end is amplified that much

You are correct. There is a larger performance gain with sub-frame bushings than differential bushings, but the differential bushings are the noise makers.

So should we leave the diff bushings alone??? I looked at a 1LE diff from another member and it has voids like the rear upper control arms and got to wondering if the Z/28 diff bushings are solid....

Just stumbled across this thread.

I am waiting for pinion bearings to come in to resemble my diff and get my car back together. I have a set of Energy suspension red urethane bushings for rear subframe and diff. I really don't want to fill the cabin of my car with drive line howl.

I guess I'm going to not press the diff bushings out tomorrow. Unless someone here has used these bushings and can tell me they're ok?

the problem is you cant go back. i have a set sitting in a box. im not doing them.

The box is a good place for urethane differential bushings unless you are a hard core track kind of driver.
