Good bye Circle D | Hello Circle D!!

I had a really good time with the Circle D 258m 2B 3200 stall converter that I had in Project Heavy Chevy. Drove a lot like stock, and was able to go 1.59 along with other bolt-on parts. Finished out 2014 with an 11.84 and best MPH of 115 on 93 pump gas.

We added a VVT cam from GPI and some nicely ported heads from Bo White Racing.

It was time for more converter.

Conferred with Chris Sehorn from Circle D and we went with the 4C. Should be around 3800.

Drives really nice, not much looser than the one that came out.

I'll post some videos of how the car drives pretty soon.

My local tracks open in 10 days!!!

It's a multi disk. I'm thinking to run it locked and unlocked to compare.

Can't wait to see how this one does -- all of these N/A's make run some awesome times...

PSJ,

Glad to hear the converter drives decently. Looking forward to results especially locked vs unlocked.

Is it better to go with a smaller diam. converter and if so are there any adapters needed to install?

No adapters are needed.

I couldn't really give you a good answer about diameters, maybe Brian or Circle from D could field that.

Looks like I might make a few on the NT05Rs but I'm not expecting to hook that great with the changes in converter, and addition of heads and cam.

When going to a smaller diameter converter you will generally sacrifice a bit of drivability in lieu of performance. We build the converter with the correct heights, dimensions, bolt pattern and pilot length for a simple bolt in affair. No spacers or adapters necessary. PSJ went from a 258mm to a 245mm diameter as an example.

I haven't had a chance yet to do any videos showing the RPMs as I drive it, but going from the 3200 to the 3600-3800 I hardly notice the difference. But I do have 3.91 gears and a bunch of other stuff done so it's not a bolt-on car anymore.
