It's called slow down alittle and take your time getting out. What are you guys doing kicking the door open with your foot? I always hold onto the door when I get out. This way you can control it from hitting the car beside you.
By the way don't blame your friend because your garage is too small.

People are going to hate me once I get this car. No eating, no smoking, no more parking in close spots. I'll be parking way out at the end of the aisle. Stereo can go loud though, that's all going to be custom. I'm a bit of an audiophile. Gotta have my music playing with no distortion or I'm going crazy.

Weekly washes and detailing because it's most likely gonna be black and black is hella hard to keep clean from what I hear. 93 Octane gas too if I can afford it.

I'll add this to the list of "problems other people are having that aren't reflected in my car in the slightest." So far that list includes every problem people have had except speeding and getting OCD about washing it.

I have noticed the same problem. The day after I got mine, my husband parked it in the garage and the door opened all the way and he hit the freezer and put a paint chip in the door. It sucks, but I was glad he had the first 'incident'. I would have never heard the end of it if it had been me.

Me too... My 28 year old daughter (yes that's right 28, not 2 or 8, but 28!!!) was going to "drive" my new Camaro, opened the door right into my husband's F150, boom... Knocked the paint off of his and a small dent, a little bit of white on the edge of the black Camaro.

I am always so careful... I have had 2 door cars my whole life, as I do not like sedans, so I am always 100% aware of this issue. But it is obvious not everyone is. So, I have no problem reminding people. Never got a chance to say it to my daughter, she had the door open and boom, way too quick!!!

Then you would know why the doors open like that.
My 98 is the same way. I warn every passenger, every time (after 11 years I still do it), to be careful openinng the damn door. And still some people hit the car next to me.

I got in the habit of letting one girlfriend out before I pulled into the space because she couldn't seem to be careful...

That's good that it happened somewhere that is not noticeable though. Makes it so much less painful

sigh

I don't think "it's an fbod" is an excuse. They coulda fixed it by now.
The doors are just so long. I've not owned a car with doors this long. Live and learn.
