Fed up with black
Today was the final straw: I was going down the highway and out of nowhere I hit a patch of road that was just ripped up to be replaced. I have never heard/seen so many rocks hit my car. Guarenteed ruined my paint. I've only had my car 3.5 months, and I am already fed up with it. I have XPEL clear bra on the front, I baby the thing, but no matter how hard you try to keep something nice, life comes along and ruins it. God I wish I didnt get a black car *end rant*

I'm confused. Are you saying the rocks would not have damaged any other color |

No, I am saying that black emphasizes the damage. Looking at other cars, the same damage doesnt show up as much against other colors. I'm a perfectionist, terrible idea to get black. It's my first black car and damn it, it will be my last haha.

OP, I know how you feel...black is only looks good when freshly washed. Black shows every little flaw, rock chips, dents, etc. Once you go black, it ruins your mood when you drive through a puddle or hit something that shows up all over your car.

Believe me, we all see our own chips. When is comes to chips, we all see them the same.

*ponders idea* haha
Ya, I have swirl marks too, I don't have the patience to get out a leaf blower to dry off my car so going to end up with swirls. Just need to buy a polisher and go at it at least twice a year. At least you can get rid of swirl marks :\

I like clean black cars as long as they're not mine. I will never own a black car again.

I'm at 2 yrs and 8300 miles and I'm swirl-less. You don't need a leaf blower, just a good cobra waffle rag, detailer, and patience.

I feel you man, I can't keep up with black. Every other color Camaro I see on the road looks squeaky clean anytime of the day.

+1. They get "dirty" sitting in the garage overnight. I'm too OCD for that.
