more auto makers are using the Christmas tree method when your service engine soon light comes on, where a lot of people will put off bringing the car in to get checked for just 1 light on they cant get in fast enough when multiple lights come on. Toyota has done this for years when a converter goes out, it really gets the drivers attention.

Saw the damage. ECM housing broke and while hanging down the wiring harnesses melted on the alternator.

Ouch.
