Exhaust Cutout Installation
More specifically the QTP round electric exhaust cutouts. Has anyone installed them yourself? I finally got my set in after almost a month of waiting, installing my ARH Headers as well this weekend.
Where is a good place to put the switch? I'd like it to be hidden or somewhere not very noticeable yet still remain within a comfortable reach. Also what wire did you tap into for the 12v hot, as well as a good place to ground the ground wire. Which also leads to running the wire out of the firewall, down to the cutouts without getting the wire in a bad place to get burned in half or something. I haven't had a chance to look yet, but I'm hoping I could possibly zip-tie or mount the switch up under the dash where you can reach it with ease, but out of sight. Dunno if that's going to be a viable option or not. If anyone has any input or other questions feel free to post. Like I said I'm going to be installing these this weekend, so I'll put up some vids, and how I finally decided to run the wire and install everything.

Go to your fuse box for a good 12v source, there is usually a few open plugs you can use. You should be able to find a ground anywhere, just about any non painted bolt works fine. I like to mount switched like that under the dash to the right of the steering wheel, usualy just enough space, its out of the way and not really noticeable and you can reach it without having to look for it.

My switch is on the side of the console. You can see the toggle in this pic right behind my base control knob on the side of the console.

Yea but any specifics as to which hot? As it needs to be one that only comes on when you turn the key on so the switch isn't always drawing power.
