Any way to tigten the fan knob on a 1ss?

I can't figure out how to edit the title... I meant tighten, not tigten, for you spelling police.

Hi guys,

I know this is a very nit-picky question, but my fan knob (lower left of the middle-dash) has become very loose and now moves by itself over bumps. Sometimes I get blasted with air after hitting a small bump. Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Can I pop it off and put teflon around the ring or something? I would hate to bring it to a dealership for such a trivial thing, they would laugh me out of there.
