For those that say PZeros are "ok" in the snow

If you are thinking about it I don't think you need any more proof why thats completely stupid.

I can do the same thing in my 11,000# Dodge 4X4 with deep lug snow tires.
Doesn't matter so much what tires you have, it matters more about throttle and brake control. Any idiot can push the gas, it takes a real driver to finesse the pedal so the tires can hook up with all that power.

That's why some states , like Colorado allow studded snow tires too.

P-Zeros have no traction in winter elements. I backed my car out of the garage to clean up after doing my suspension and almost didnt get it back it back in just sat there with the TC light blinking at me on the ice and my drive way is damn near flat.

I tested mine on the first day it snowed here...
I will say that my SS has "Zero" traction in the snow, no matter how lightly I press the gas (I am a good snow driver). The only way I could move forward was basically at idle speed. And stopping = sliding at any speed. However, on cold, dry streets, I do just fine. After a cold night, they may slip a little bit when you first get going, and they are a bit bumpy, but after 1 mile or so the tires seem to be warmed up and everything is fine. No more breaking free, no more bumps. This has been the case in sub-20° weather so far. I am planning to get the Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires next year (I still have another car this year for the winter). |

the problem with that video isn't the tires, it's that the GT-R is purple...

warranty must be voided for painting it right? Everything else seems to void it.
