If the 1M is stock the bolt on SS will win in a straight line. A modded N54 motor can get nasty pretty fast. I had a 135i with just a piggyback tune and it went 12.9 @ 109.

If you do DP's, bigger intercooler and more boost and they really go good... Add Meth and you can turn up the boost even more...

12.9 at 109, that doesn't sound right, shouldn't it be faster and quicker.

I have seen 1 series dipping into the 10's with exhaust, intake, tune, and meth(EDIT--also race gas tune). I lost to one which only had exhaust, intake, tune :/. He ran an 11.7 that pass......

Not sure if you missed the part that I had a 135i not a 1M. My piggyback JB3 (Map 5 of a possible 8) registered about 12-13lbs of boost on my gage and didn't hold boost well in the upper RPM range. This is similar to what a 1M stock boost is like. The OEM program of the 1M gives it a little shot of boost at low RPM similar to my map 5. I had an early released and it didn't do a great job holding boost or re-spooling between shifts. This is where it lost a little speed. The auto N54's at that time held boost between shifts better, therefore they were a little faster. I have not followed the progress of the N54's in a while, but they have a lot of potential...

Yeah I know you said 135 and I thought with a tune they would be like 112mph trap or so.

I heard that they are discontinuing the 1 series? That's a shame because I wanted to pick one up for my fiance in a few years.

I've heard the 1 series is becoming a hatchback and BMW will be introducing a 2 series to replace the current 1 series.

They've had the 1 series hatchbacks in Europe since it's introduction. We only got the coupes in the US.

It all depends on how much boost, the more boost the more power. There were guys that were not afraid of running 16-17 lbs of boost, I was. At 13 lbs of boost (boost levels that I ran) they will not trap 112.

With a piggy/flash, FMIC, DP's, CAI, meth, etc. they can trap mid teens or higher...

As I mentioned as well as others, a modded SS should pull a stock 1M.
