USB port have charging capability?

USB port have charging capability?

Wondering if the USB connection in the 2LT package has the ability to charge devices as well as connect to the system.

If so, does anyone know the voltage output? Normal USB to a direct power source gives back ~5v or so. Wondering if this does too.

Thanks!

It has to provide a charge - if not, my iPod would be dead by now. Don't know about the output voltage.

I think I remember hearing that the max for any USB port is something like 500 milli-amps. Not a lot, but enough to cover what the device is using at the time.

Max for USB I think is 5 volts. I run devices that require 5 volts to work with USB, so that's why I was asking. If its standard, then it should handle 5 volts, but some folks limit the voltage output on USB inputs that have a specific purpose, like this.

I will be picking up on Friday, so I guess I can just test then, only way to really tell. Thanks for the input.
