Scratches on Camaro?

I had a scratch from a rock last week on my back driver fender that was bugging me. I just simply used toothpaste then this scratch remover paste. It worked fairly well and exceeded my expectations. I was gonna buff it out but a couple of applications of this stuff and I was fine. But it won't do deep scratches and cuts in the clearcoat/paint. But I've seen videos of this stuff or toothpaste do woder in getting scratches out of cars.

I've used the above ScratchX with a rotary and wool pad and had great success. I never heard of the toothpaste approach though.

Good info! I've got a couple micro scratches on my rear bumber and hood front edge area. They're hard to see but still annoying. Might try this.

Please come down to the cosmetic maintenance forum and learn to do scratch repair correctly. Do not use toothpaste on your car! It is way too abrasive. Use compounds and polishes that were developed for car paint, not tooth enamel. Tooth enamel is much harder than car paint!

Likely the only thing this is doing is filling the scratches and diminishing their appearence.

I agree with the above, learn how to do the paint correction properly!!

Go checkout junkman2000 on youtube, it's lengthy but worth it.

I would highly recommend against using toothpaste. Sister used it on her car blindly with nothing else in conjunction and sure it made the scratch disappear. But it gave the entire area a very smudged look and lost its shine. She learned her lesson since then.
