they made 500 replica indy pace car convertible and coupes....do not know how to check the #

Thank you all this is just a bit confusing to me. I can't understand how they can build a special edition car and only 500 made and not even GM knows anything about this car. Thanks for all y'all help

There were around 50 cars that went to Indy for the race and were driven by VIP's etc. These cars have a number attached as shown in Z11 Dan's link. But the overall lot of replica Pace Cars were not numbered from the factory. They came off the line with a VIN # mixed in with all the other Camaros at that time. So the ones that you see in pictures with numbers were Festival Cars that did service at Indy.
