Hylton, the lower frame brace, is it light weight (?), what kind of material is it ?, is both (top & bottom) the same metals ?
Oh could you tell us if the frame work for vert, much different than the coupe ?
Thx much.

Not a rag top guy, but if I see one I like, I will give credit.
It hurts me to say, I'm not impressed, there's nothing that stands out.

I am a vert guy, owned a few. This one looks great to me. I'm thinking white with orange interior, orange painted on stripes. Like the 69 Pacecar look. I also have a 69 convertible too.

The Coupes Frame is in one piece and the Vert is in 3 pieces.

Sort of - the coupe was designed with the idea that it would eventually become a 'vert so some of the coupes structure is for the 'vert. Having said that, they did add some extra structural stiffness on the 'vert by adding support to the underside as well as the strut tower brace. If we were underneath a 'vert, I could show you what has been added.

GM spent more effort on structural rigidity than any other camaro convertible in the past. The idea was to ensure that the convertible buyer experience the same level of handling that the coupe buyer experiences. Unfortunately, that usually means that the car will end up weighing more than the coupe. As a result, the 2SS auto convertible will weigh over 4,000 lbs.

Yea seen the frame for the coupe's just thought the verts would be a bit more reinforced ?, other than the two supports (aluminum or composite/light weight metals ?) .

I didn't see any noticable factory rear fender body ripples like on mine and others I've seen.
