I'm at work on the roof so don't have time to research till I get home. By then I have to drop my car off. It's it even worth bringing in? First time it happened to me it corrected itself in a few minutes. This time it took a full day. I'm assuming this issue won't go away and will only worsen?

Ok did a bit of research, and I didn't see any 2013's having this problem, mostly 2010's and before. I will say though that most of their problems sound exactly like mine, so I guess the '13s are not immune to this. also doesn't look like much can be done about this particular problem anyways, besides them telling you that you have a misfire.

I will add one extra note here, and it may have nothing to do with the problem at all. Both times I had this happen, I washed my car the day before. Could be coincidence, it might not. I just find it strange is all.

These cars do not have spark plug wires people, they have coils and spark plugs.

Did you wash the engine bay? Maybe you have a bad seal around the coil and some water got in there and shorted out and when it got hot enough it evaporated the water?

Funny that you mention that. The first time I ever had a rough idle and stalled was right after washing my car and the engine bay. This second time though, with the "service stabilitrac" issue I did not. If water got in the exhaust pipes, for a short period of time, would this cause a misfire as well the next day? I do remember shooting the hose at the back to loosen the salt and sand from the car, and hit the exhaust pipes a few times.

Coils are the obvious place to look. Next comes wire damage from rodents.

That's what happened to my daily driver, parked outdoors. Every night, when I came home from work, the mice moved back into their warm spot on top of the intake manifold, under the plastic engine cover. They munched on the fuel ejector wire harness.

These days, I have enough poison in and around the house to prevent that. Knock on wood.

You should pull the engine cover and see what's going on under there. If you see acorn shells and mouse droppings, that's a major clue.

I can honestly say that I do not believe that the water went all the way up into the headers. I doubt it would even go into the cats. Unless you sealed off the exhaust and just sprayed water in there.
I would just take it to the dealer and tell them what happened. They won't be able to diagnose anything because the engine light is no longer on.
Did you get a code yourself??
If they don't tell you what is wrong, I would just check the coils and plugs yourself.

The exhaust pipes are full of water/condensation (which quickly evaporates) as well as the mufflers. Unless you stuck the hose into the pipe and flooded it there is close to no chance of what you did caused an issue.

They can look at the freeze frame data from when the car stalled out, that'll tell them what's going on.

How long does it keep that information for though?

OK just got off the phone with a service rep that was recommended to me from another member, and he said most likely that it has something to do with either the CAI that is installed on my car, or the ported throttle body. He has seen one plenty of issues when it comes to these mods on cars. His advice was to install the old intake back on and see if the issue occurs. If not then its the CAI. Unfortunately my TB was shipped back to the company for the refund, so there is no going back to stock on that part.

Of course now with the weather getting warmer, I probably will not see this issue again till December, or whenever it gets cold again.

He also said to contact CAI and see if their older intakes are causing issues for 2013's.

Sorry but unless you have the wrong parts I'm not buying that at all!

Not sure who to believe, but I do know when this first occurred, my entire car was stock to the bones.
