The only reason I got a Manual is because I don't know how to drive an automatic.

It is cheaper than an automatic, all of my cars have been automatic so i wanted a switch up, and it is more fun to drive..

except in traffic...

1. I've been driving manual for over 40 years and I don't even think about when to shift, it just comes naturally.

2. It gives your left leg exercise so you don't form blood clots in it.

3. If some tool tries to steal your car, he probably isn't smart enough to know how to drive a manual and fails.

Seattle has 'top 10' worst traffic status. But yes, if you can't keep a cool head driving a stick in traffic, you shouldn't own one.

I bought a manual because it was just time for another manual car. My old LS1's were autos, and I think driving a manual has added fun for me because it's something to 'master'. It's fun to hit gears just right, to estimate a rev match and be dead-on, to hold a gear to get attention/speed/dirty looks... Manual driving is a thinking sport. Keeps me occupied.

People with manuals, don't get asked why did you get a manual.

i also agree about the manual drivers dont ask why did you get a manual shift. drove an old pos rustang 3spd, then 77ta 400 4spd and loved it! nothing quite like a big torque motor in front of a stick shift tranny.

Camaro SS doesn't have a DSG, so no care. Manual is still king for this make and model. There is no greater satisfaction than rowing through your own gears exactly when you need to/want to.

Anyone can drive a manual unless they are physically handicapped. Anyone can learn it's not that special

I never even considered a auto in the SS - I had an 85 Porsche with a 5spd and then spent the next 25 yrs going thru Vans with baby seats, SUV's and company cars - all with autos - when the time came to settle into a 2SS/RS -it HAD to be a M6. For the first two weeks I had it, I think I listened to the radio twice-- I would rather roll the windows down and listen to the LS3 go thru the gears! SWEET!!!
