I'm also booked 7/31-8/4. I think we need to take a poll of who wants to leave on the 31st or the 8/1. The meet and greet on 8/1 doesn't get started till evening so we could drive out then. Leaving on the 31st will give us more time to get there and maybe make a side attraction, lunch etc. without any pressure to get there in time for meet and greet, it'll just cost another night. I think we should all book 7/31, it can be changed anytime.

I got an invite from Jim for our group to swing by his shop RDP Motorsports in Ohio. Their shop is about 10 minutes from I90 this side of Cleveland. They just moved into a million dollar shop with 4 lifts, dyno, etc! It's tenative right now but that could be a really cool side attraction!

We also need to co-ordinate with SEPA on meeting up in Columbus. I'll find out when they are planning on going.

One more thing I want to throw out there to you guys. If our group stays at the number it is right now, or grows, it may be very difficult to keep us all together. So I think that an itinerary needs to be done with directions, times, etc. and distributed to all going in case we get split up. Maybe split into 3 groups? Let me know your thoughts!

This is my first time going and I'm really excited! I want this to be a memorable experience for us all so let's plan well and have a blast!

I'm booking for the 31st to the 4th. I think leaving on the 31 is a good Idea Mike and stopping at RDP would be awesome.

I have updated the first post with travel dates so far. Please let me know what dates you plan on leaving and returning. We may end up with a group leaving on 7/31 and another for 8/1.

I'm thinking that by going on 7/31 we will be less pressured and can take our time and have some fun on the way. The meet and greet on 8/1 doesn't start till about 5pm so we have all day in Indy to do stuff. Some ideas I have are visiting Raymond Motorsports for dyno tuning or wheel alignments for those interested, washing our Camaros, or maybe visiting Indy Motor Speedway Museum! Then Meet & Greet and parking lot party!

The 31st will make things much easier. I think visiting the museum would be kewl. Maybe a pace lap on the track???
