So, I get plowed into while stopped at a redlight

I'm sitting at a stoplight and a woman apparently texting runs into the back of me without even slowing down. She was going at least 35 or 40 MPH. What a way to start my day. (this was yesterday morning on the way to work)

That sucks! :( Hopefully they start cracking down on idiots that can't leave their cellphones alone while driving. Maybe states can require these brainless idiots to make use of the new Google cars (which can drive themselves) once they become available to the public, so these idiots can depend on their car to get them from point A to point B since they have proven that they are inept to have full control of their car themselves! /rant

Good luck on getting everything resolved quickly so you can continue to enjoy your Camaro!

HA HA..........I WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was the only day in the past two years that I DID NOT drive my Camaro to work. It would have been totalled.

I was driving my POS '95 Ford truck so that I could bring home my new ZL-1 front end fron Ofer/2SSRS

The woman bent up my step bumper and went under the truck lifing the rear end up. Her car was probably totalled based on age and damage.

Now I can finally fix my Camaro versus Deer damage

Glad you're ok. 30-40mph rear impact is enough to do some serious damage to all the parties in both cars.

Looks like your bumper lined up perfectly with her front end.

Well, at least you got rear-ended in your truck rather than the Camaro.

Sorry for misleading 'y'all....I just had to wait for the..

Actually I am amazed we were not hurt. I saw her coming in the mirror and I took my foot off the brake so I could rebound. She had a big tube steel brush guard and in effect I just got launched forward. Kind of a frame to frame collision. Except her headlights, grille, radiator and front fenders are toast.

First off, nice upgrade for the beast. Second, by easing off the brakes does the resulting impact then not damage your transmission or other internal moving parts or is that an urban myth?

Glad to hear nobody got seriously injured.

huh never knew that releasing the break would actually help in a situation like this. But glad to know no one was hurt and that it wasnt in your camaro.

I just figured it would be best if I was less of a brick wall when she hit
