Anyone wish they purchased a 2LT instead of a 2SS? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I know there are a zillion posts about folks who wish they purchased an 8 cylinder but I'm wondering if anyone was on the other side of the fence and wished they purchased a 6 cyl instead of 8.

I was undecided for the longest time, changed my order twice, and now I think I'm going back to my original 2LT.

I'd be very interested in your experiences.

It was a huge debate for me...and I'm so glad everyday that I went with 2SS.

My husband wanted the V6 but I managed to change his mind. He is happy that we ended up getting the V8

But guys, sounds like most of you never considered a 2LT. I'm curious about the folks who seriously considered one and test drove one and were sold on it and then went with the 2SS b/c they thought they'd be missin' out.

I did, test drove the V6, never drove the V8, The V6 is a great car, it was the sound that was my biggest influence. If you aren't looking for that deep V8 sound and more HP then the V6 is the perfect car for you.

The gas mileage issue really scares me. I know, "no one buys a Camaro for the gas mileage" but it's a big concern for me. I work from home and I'm not scraping my last nickels together to purchase the car. It's just a barrier I can't get past.

my first order was a 2LT but i knew i was going to regret it so last min. i went and changed it to a 2ss

If you have the money to buy a 2SS, then why would you want a 2LT (this coming from a former 2LT owner)? Key words there: "HAVE THE MONEY" I didn't have that kinda cash, so I went with the 2LT (it was also my daily driver during the non-winter months).

The sound was one of the reason's I decided to change my order the 8 but now I'm feeling that reason was insubstantial for my own needs. Just talking about myself now.
